For people like her (and my own personal enjoyment), I have found six common foods that can be used for things other than eating!
1. Bananas—Trip mortal enemies, filter water, polish shoes, fertilize gardens, whiten teeth.
2. Apples—Poison enviously beautiful step-daughters, add light and fall festivity to Halloween parties, can be used in potpourri.
3. Whipped cream—Removes makeup, conditions hair, acts as stand-in for shaving cream.
4. Rice—Repairs water-damaged phones, fills heating pads, provides sound for "instant maracas."
That maraca video is hilarious! And glad to hear of all the uses for cinnamon, for as you know, I think cinnamon is a spiritual necessity.
ReplyDeleteI love this. I used to use beets to make stamps (you don't even need ink!)
ReplyDeleteHow clever! My friend uses beets to naturally dye her knitting yarn, as well.
DeleteI used to make stress balls with either rice or flour. You can pack one or the other into a balloon and then blow it up a bit before slowly letting the air out. That way, each stress ball is super filled up and really squishy!
ReplyDeleteOh neat! I should capitalize on this idea...especially with finals looming!
ReplyDeleteWhipped cream to condition hair? And shaving cream? Really?! Have you used it for either of those before? How'd it work? I'm a little skeptical about putting whipped cream in my hair....
